There is one very important conviction that I hold true in music that is used to worship the Lord. All the music that Christian people bring before the Lord must be firmly planted in the truth. This truth is the Word of God; great hymn-writers have intertwined the beautiful doctrines of the faith throughout the words that minister to our souls. When listening to worship music I want to come away knowing that I have learned something about God.
Finally, let us worship God in spirit, being filled completely with the Holy Spirit of God. Only the spirit of God can apply the truth of God’s Word to the sinful heart of man. As Christian people we must have a revolution back to the Bible and that includes the music we bring to worship the Lord.
